September is Skincare Month! Celebrate with nügg!

There are many reasons that September is a special month, but here’s one you may not have known – September is Skincare Month! This is the month to figure out what works best for your skin, what you need to keep acne away, and to create a skin care routine that makes sense for your lifestyle. Remember, skincare is a marathon, not a sprint. There are no quick fixes. We encourage everyone to choose a clean, sustainable long-term approach to skincare and self-care. Allow us to share some tips and product picks to get you started!

nugg beauty 5 pack

In case you didn’t know, at nügg, clean is one of our watchwords. We pride ourselves on practicing clean beauty and clean skincare. What does that mean, exactly?

We do our best to find ways to go clean, in terms of our personal care items, home cleaning products and more. The idea is to reduce toxic ingredients in our homes and day to day lives. We want our skin care products to be part of your clean-living plan. In terms of our formulation, it means sourcing only high quality natural, effective, and gentle ingredients for our products. It means ensuring all ingredients are 100% cruelty-free and making our packaging as hygienic and recyclable as possible.

We want to give you the healthiest ingredients possible in our little nüggets of natural goodness. We want you to know our products are 94-100% natural, free from parabens, petrochemicals, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, or colors. We formulate without ingredients that are often found in many mainstream products. Here’s what we won’t ever use in nügg products, and why!

We won’t ever use mineral oils. Mineral oils are moisturizing agents that are commonly found in popular drugstore lip and face products. The problem with mineral oils, is they get ingested over time, and they are listed as carcinogens by the World Health Organization. We keep our products carcinogenic-free over here!

We don’t use parabens. Parabens are preservatives that are commonly used to prevent bacterial growth in personal care and beauty products. The problem is that parabens can mimic estrogen and cause potential reproductive harm, thyroid disruption, and hormone related cancers.

We won’t use any synthetic fragrances or colors, the kinds of additives used to make a product smell a certain way or achieve a specific color. Synthetics are commonly derived from petrochemicals, which can disrupt the endocrine system and are known carcinogens. Our customers with sensitive skin also appreciate our fragrance-free natural skincare approach!

At nügg we are 100% against animal cruelty. It is ethically wrong, unnecessary, and inhumane. We love our animal friends and we encourage everyone to lead more intentionally cruelty-free lives in terms of the products we use and decisions we make.

At nügg, we focus on skincare and do our best to make products to benefit you from the inside out. Our natural face masks are designed to enhance your skin barrier function, helping to keep your skin hydrated. Nügg masks use natural ingredients and patented Microsperse(TM)  technology, which eliminates the need for chemical emulsifiers. Our gentle, gel masks are meant to be safe for even the most dry, sensitive skin and they’re also cold pressed, so they use a lower carbon footprint.

We suggest you celebrate September by treating yourself to one of our delightful organic skin care gift boxes or starter sets to begin your skincare journey. Whether you have oily skin or dull skin or are looking for anti-aging solutions, we’ve got a mask to meet your needs!
