When was the last time you put everything aside and focused on yourself? Taking just 5 to 10 minutes to do something nice for yourself is key in maintaining positive mental and emotional health. Here at nügg we are passionate about living well-balanced lives (or at least trying to…) and we want to share ideas with you how you can improve the quality of your life in just 5 to 10 minutes a day. One of the many things that makes nügg so great is that you can mask while you multitask - no need to stay put in just one place to ensure the mask doesn’t fall off like a sheet mask can.
Starting with this post, we want to share ideas with you for things that are perfect for doing in conjunction with masking so that you can feel great on the inside and out! Let’s start with…
A 5-minute meditation exercise
Whether you are stressed, tired or distracted, meditation can help you reconnect with yourself on both a mental and physical level. Taking care of yourself is unbelievably important and when life gets crazy busy, you sometimes need to take a step back and do something to improve your well being. Meditation is one of the many ways in which you can become more aware of your inner self and feel at ease. Nugg facial masks are of different types - anti aging mask, moisturizing face mask (hydrating face mask), exfoliating face mask, lip mask, eye mask and so on. Apply whichever nügg suits your skin care needs and follow these steps for the perfect 5 minute meditation.
- Try to find a quiet place where you can omit any outside distraction.
- Sit with your legs crossed on the floor or in a chair with your feet fully grounded.
- Set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes. This will allow you to full immerse yourself in your meditation and not worry about how much time you have left or if you’re going to be late for the next thing on your schedule.
- Close your eyes and relax, taking deep breaths to release all tension you are holding.
- Clear your mind of all thoughts and focus on the present moment. When a thought comes to mind, simply acknowledge it and let it drift away. Focusing on your breath will allow you to let go more easily of all the thoughts that will come to your mind.
- Continue this until your alarm goes off and return to your day refreshed and relaxed.
After your meditation, remove the face mask by rinsing or using a damp wash cloth. Not only will you feel refreshed, but your skin will as well. So you can do meditation, which is good to maintain a healthy body as well as apply desired facial mask, which is good to maintain younger, softer and glowing skin.
