We are crossing our fingers that the cold weather is on it’s way out and the warmth is creeping in. After the snowy days, harsh winds and icy temperatures, our skin is in need of a little love. As we transition into spring, there are two things we are sure to do for our skin; exfoliate and hydrate. This month we are launching our Spring Awakening Collection; a perfect four pack of both our Exfoliating face mask and Hydrating face mask ( Moisturizing face mask ) that is sure to help your skin look as bright and beautiful as ever.

When winter ends, exfoliating is key to slough away dry, flaky skin. You may notice that your skin is lacking that luster it had before the temperature dropped last fall. Not only does the cold wind strip our skin, but the indoor heating sucks humidity out of the air which can leave your skin as dry as a desert. Using a gentle exfoliating face mask, which is the best exfoliator is important in order to prevent irritation. Your skin can become a bit sensitive having been stripped by the cold, and the last thing you want is a harsh, rough physical scrub making that worse. Our Exfoliating face mask uses Natural L-Lactic Acid and Jojoba Beads to break down dead skin cells and reveal a smooth, even complexion, and it was developed with the philosophy of not only “taking away” but also “giving back” so after removing dead skin cells, the Cranberry Seed Oil, Aloe Juice and Olive, Cranberry, Grape and Linseed Oil ensure that your skin is well hydrated, soothed and nourished.

As we mentioned, your skin may be feeling a bit tight right about now. That’s because you need all the hydration you can get. When you get home after a cold winter day, it’s hard to not turn that thermostat up and crank the heat. Even though it felt nice and cozy at the time, your skin is now suffering from it. Our Award Winning Hydrating face mask contains Spirulina Extract which provides a reservoir of water which it then releases into the skin as you need it.

The Camellia Seed Oil in this mask also helps improve moisture retention by strengthening the skin’s lipid barrier. You can apply a thin layer of this mask in place of your nightly moisturizer before bed for an overnight hydration boost.

With skincare aside, the best thing you can do for yourself and your skin is drink lots and lots of water. When you increase your daily intake of water, you are able to see an immediate change in your skin. Not only will it be more clear, but it will feel soft and supple to the touch. If you tend to consume quite a few caffeinated beverages a day, try and cut back as these can dehydrate your skin.

Spring is like a sigh of relief for your skin. The higher temperatures welcome more moisture into the air, and in conjunction with staying on top of your skincare routine, you will have simply glowing skin this spring. It’s time to shed your winter skin and enjoy!
