Spring Skincare Tips

We believe that spring cleaning isn’t just for your home, diet, or wardrobe. Winter can be harsh on your skin, leaving it dry and dull, and giving it some extra love at the onset of spring will help you transition glowingly into this beautiful, magical season.
#1 Give your skin a boost:
Our Spring Awakening 4-Pack is a perfect combination of our Exfoliating and Hydrating face masks that will help your skin transition into spring.
As the days get warmer, exfoliating is key to slough away any dry, flaky skin. Our Exfoliating mask is gentle, using Natural L-Lactic Acid and Jojoba Beads to break down dead skin cells and reveal a smooth, even complexion. This mask was developed with the philosophy of not only “taking away” but also “giving back” so after removing dead skin cells, the beautiful base of natural oils ensures that your skin is well hydrated, soothed and nourished.
Also important: hydration. Not only does the cold wind strip our skin of moisture, but the indoor heating sucks humidity out of the air, leaving your skin dry. Our Award Winning Hydrating mask contains Spirulina Extract which provides a reservoir of water which it then releases into the skin as you need it, allowing your skin to feel beautifully hydrated at the moment and over time.
#2 Toss old skincare and makeup products:
We all do it. We all have that discontinued eyeshadow from five years ago that we just can’t part with or that brightening serum we bought and remember to use once every two months. According to a study done by Stowaway Cosmetics, 89% of women hold onto old products “just in case they might need it later”. But holding on to old cosmetics is a big no-no. Bacteria can begin to grow at a fast pace when products have reached their end and if used can cause irritation, breakouts, or even infections, especially when it comes to eye makeup. Spring is a good time to start fresh, so say goodbye to those old & crusty cosmetics.
P.S our single-serve packaging is specifically designed so that the product stays fresh until opened...
#3 Cover up with SPF:
Protect your face by wearing SPF every single day; hot or cold, rain or shine. We may sound like a broken record, but wearing SPF is a skincare tip that is always in season. To make things easier, find a moisturizer or foundation that contains SPF so that you can skip the extra step and know you’re covered every day without even thinking about it. Not only are you preventing signs of aging by doing so, but it you are protecting your skin from possibly cancer causing rays.
#4 Wash those brushes:
Take a look at your makeup brushes. Would you really want to put it near your face? Washing your makeup brushes should be a daily if not weekly routine to keep any bacteria away from your skin. You can use any shampoo that you have handy. You’ll not only be washing away old makeup but also oils, dirt & dust, and dead skin cells, thus reducing the risk for skin irritation.
#5 Lighten up:
Spring is an opportunity to let your skin breathe. With the days getting warmer, your skin will see an improvement in hydration, especially when using our Hydrating mask to supplement your routine. Replace the heavy cream you were using in the winter with a lighter lotion or face oil. Backing away from thick foundations and utilizing a BB cream or tinted moisturizer in it’s place will also give you a fresher, clean look.
